USA 2011-2012 national data by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates that more than two-thrid of adults are over weight and more than one-third of adults(above 20) are obese. Interestingly adult women and men shares approx same percentage of obesity however obesity seems to be higher in middle aged adults(40-59) compare to younger(20-39) or older adults(60 and above). Data from National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey 2009-2010 also suggested that about one-third of children, ages 6 to 19 are considered to be overweight or obese. Approx 17% of youth is considered to be over weight or obese.. More than 78 million adults americans were obese in 2011–2012.
