USA Obesity & Overweight Statistics 2011-12

USA 2011-2012 national data by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates that more than two-thrid of adults are over weight and more than one-third of adults(above 20) are obese. Interestingly adult women and men shares approx same percentage of obesity however obesity seems to be higher in middle aged adults(40-59) compare to younger(20-39) or older adults(60 and above). Data from National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey 2009-2010 also suggested that about one-third of children, ages 6 to 19 are considered to be overweight or obese. Approx 17% of youth is considered to be over weight or obese.. More than 78 million adults americans were obese in 2011–2012. The majority of these obese adults (more than 50 million) were non-Hispanic white
