Chris Hemsworth Goes for 500 Calories a Day Diet Plan

Chris Hemsworth put on 20 pounds of muscles in order to play the role of a famous superhero Thor for the movie, but it is time for him to drop the weight he gained to play a role in an upcoming movie of Ron Howard namely ‘Heart of the Sea’.

Chris, 30 years, was a guest in the program ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on November 4, 2014 to talk and promote the part two of Thor namely ‘Thor: The Dark World’. While talking about the movie, he told that he was following a crash diet which allowed him to eat 500 to 600 calories a day in order to lose weight. ‘

‘Heart of the Sea’ is a based on true happenings that encouraged Herman Melville to write Moby Dick. Chris further gave explanations to Kimmel why he needed to lose weight exposing a little insight of the story.

He story is a group of sailors on a trip in a whaling ship which is stricken by a whale; the ship is quickly submerged, so all of the sailors get in small rafts and sail in the sea for 90 days. As a result, they start dying and eating each other.

Since the script demands the sailors to be thin and weak, the participating actors have to follow 500 calories a day diet might with a limit to 600 calories per day.

Chris exposed that he had a cheat meal before coming to the show, but it is only once a week he was allowed to do. Fortunately, Chris has rest of the cast that is following the same diet routine too, so he has good company and support in this regard.

Chris Hemsworth adds that it is really tough to follow a diet with so restrictive calories count, but it is an effective way to shed pounds and get the set weight loss target. You really feel hungry and wish to eat more, but you must be strongly determined to follow a 500 or 600 calorie diet plan.
